Victor Osimhen Is Facing Accusations from His Supposed Family in Edo

A viral video has sparked controversy as two men claiming to be Victor Osimhen’s relatives accuse the Super Eagles star of abandoning his roots and family ties.

Filmed in Edo State, the men allege they supported Osimhen’s parents during tough times but have since been ignored. They now seek answers for his silence despite his global football success.

A viral clip circulating online features two men who say they are relatives of Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen, accusing him of turning his back on his family and community since achieving global fame.

The footage, reportedly filmed at Osimhen’s ancestral home in Edo State, shows the men identified as Omuyiwa John and Monday Egbe claiming that the footballer has neither visited nor supported those who helped raise him.

They allege that they are Osimhen’s distant cousins, sharing the same grandfather, and even assisted his late father, Patrick Osimhen, during difficult times. According to them, the family pooled resources to help Osimhen’s father when he returned from Lagos with nothing. They also say they contributed financially to bury the footballer’s mother.

Expressing frustration, the men said Osimhen has allegedly severed ties with them despite his success. One recalled how the Edo State governor once provided a television for the village to watch Osimhen’s matches, highlighting the community’s pride in his achievements.

They ended by demanding to know why he has not returned home or acknowledged their past support for his family.
