JAMB Explains Decision to Withhold 39,834 UTME Results for 2025
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it is withholding a minimum of 39,834 results from the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) due to suspected cases of malpractice.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced the release of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results on Friday, May 9. This disclosure followed an earlier statement by the board revealing that approximately 1.9 million candidates took the exam nationwide.
Additionally, the board revealed that at least 80 individuals are currently under investigation nationwide for alleged involvement in exam fraud. Among these suspects, Anambra State recorded the highest number, with 14 persons being questioned.
How to check your results
JAMB stated that candidates can access their results via USSD codes 55019 or 66019 once they are released. However, the board noted that the first batch of 2025 UTME results is still undergoing post-examination review.
Once the necessary verification processes are completed, JAMB assured that the results of all eligible candidates would be officially published.
