A Nigerian cleric, Prophet Segundo Arole, has sparked fresh conversation online after sharing a divine message he claims was directed at Joseph Aloba, the father of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
In a now viral video, Prophet Arole claimed that God instructed him to tell Mr. Aloba to finally bury his son, whose body was exhumed in 2023 as part of a police investigation into his untimely death. Over a year later, a reburial has yet to take place.
The cleric warned that failure to heed this divine instruction could lead Mr. Aloba into a life of prolonged hardship. He suggested that the late singer’s father, who rose to public prominence after his son’s passing, should use this moment not for personal attention, but to grant Mohbad the dignity of a proper burial.
Highlighting what he described as misplaced energy, Arole stated that had Mr. Aloba shown as much commitment to supporting Mohbad in life as he has in pursuing justice, the tragedy might have been averted. He urged the public to pass on this message, emphasizing its urgency.
