BBNaija star Frodd admits to being sexually molested as a child amid recent scandal surrounding singer Speed Darlington’s online admission and retraction to the raping of a 15-year old girl.
The BBNaija show star and father of two, disclosed that within the ages of 5years old and 10years old, he was r@ped multiple times by domestic workers.
According to him, “As a child, I was physically molested from the age of 5 to about 9 by different house helps we had except for the lady that nurtured me at my baby stage ( Aunty Chinenye) the rest may be reading this or they may be in different parts of the world, plus a certain neighbor.”
He urged parents to give attention to their children and to be observant to their children’s reactions with adults around them. Using himself as an example, he explained that whenever kids becomes irritated or attracted by a big uncle or aunt, parents should be watchful. He added that, “We couldn’t speak then because parents didn’t give us that relationship and they never read the room.”
His post triggered discussion online about sexual abuse, with people of similar experiences reacting and sharing theirs too.
One noted that “You would be surprised at the statistics of 1990s babies that were m0l3ted. Both male and female. I am so glad that in this era, parents have become conscious of such and more protective,” another said “ People who molest kids are usually people who are very close to their parents.”
Another noted that, “You see does big aunty that called us my husband, I won’t forget. Please protect your child from those AUNTY,” with one saying that “women speaks up more often doesn’t mean men don’t get m0lested.”
