BBNaija’s Doyin David Calls Out Men Who Over-Sexualize Women

Reality TV star and media personality Doyin David has voiced her concerns over the way many men approach women, criticizing the tendency to immediately sexualize women instead of genuinely getting to know them.

Speaking during her recent appearance on the relationship-centered talk show Thanks For Coming, hosted by Grand Prince Ita, Doyin expressed frustration over how often women are objectified during initial interactions.

“Most times when a guy meets a girl, it’s very easy for them to sexualize her,” she said. “They begin to wonder what sex would be like with the person, without taking time to truly know her. Sex is important to me, but I’m a whole human being outside of my vagina.”

Her candid remarks have sparked discussion online, with many applauding her for addressing an issue that affects countless women in both dating and professional spaces.

Doyin also reflected on her personal experience with dating, admitting that it has become increasingly difficult in Nigeria. She revealed that she hasn’t been on a date in several months due to how challenging the dating scene has become.

“It’s been a while, honestly,” she admitted. “A couple of months ago was the last time. Dating in Nigeria these days feels like an extreme sport. It’s really hectic.”

Despite these challenges, the BBNaija alum shared that she is still open to love and willing to be emotionally vulnerable in the right relationship. She emphasized that she has no issue being submissive, but only to a partner who deserves it.

“I will be submissive for the right man,” Doyin declared.

When describing what she looks for in a partner, Doyin stressed the importance of emotional intelligence, particularly a man who listens and makes intentional changes based on her feelings and concerns. To her, such traits are essential for building a healthy and respectful relationship.

Her comments have since resonated with many fans who see her as a voice for women navigating the complexities of modern dating in Nigeria.
