Peter Okoye Shares Ongoing Efforts to Bring Victor Osimhen to Chelsea
Nigerian singer and entertainer Peter Okoye, widely recognized as Mr. P, has given Chelsea fans a reason to remain hopeful in their pursuit of top striker Victor Osimhen. The singer, who is a die-hard Chelsea FC supporter, took to social media to reassure fans that efforts are still being made behind the scenes to bring the Nigerian forward to Stamford Bridge.
Peter, who was once part of the legendary music duo P-Square, shared that he and ex-Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi put in a great deal of effort last summer to try and facilitate Osimhen’s transfer to the London-based club. Sharing his experience in a post on X (formerly Twitter), Peter said he was on a three-way phone call with Mikel and Osimhen late into the night on transfer deadline day, trying to finalize a deal.
Mr Peter said : “Dear @ChelseaFC fans, last summer, both @mikel_john_obi and I made every effort to secure the signing of @victorosimhen9 for Chelsea, including engaging in a three-way call right up until the transfer deadline,” Peter wrote. “I want to reassure all of you that we remain steadfast in our pursuit and will continue our efforts this summer. Fingers crossed. 🤞🏾#AgentP”

Osimhen, who eventually joined Turkish side Galatasaray on loan after the Chelsea deal fell through, has since elevated his profile with a stunning season. The Super Eagles striker ended the 2024/2025 campaign as the Turkish Super Lig’s top scorer, netting 26 goals and drawing attention from several top Premier League clubs.
Now, with Chelsea in need of a proven goal scorer, Osimhen’s name remains high on their list though they’ll face stiff competition from rivals Arsenal and Manchester United.
Peter Okoye’s revelation has sparked excitement among fans, not just for his behind-the-scenes involvement, but also for the unity it shows between Nigerian icons working to place their own at top European clubs. With the summer transfer window on the horizon, all attention is now on whether “Agent P” and Mikel Obi can finally make the Chelsea dream a reality.
