Invest in Health, Not Just Gadgets: Everhale Urges Youth at Wellness Launch

Everhale Living Company has launched a bold wellness movement in Africa with the unveiling of its first Wellness Expo and state-of-the-art health facility in Lagos.

The initiative aims to shift focus from reactive treatment to preventive care, blending modern science with African natural medicine for a healthier future.

The Everhale Living Company officially marked its entry into Nigeria’s health and wellness industry with the launch of its first Wellness Expo and corporate unveiling held in Lagos. The event was spearheaded by the company’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Johnson Onyedịkachukwu Adumike, who shared the inspiration behind the initiative and its bold vision for transforming healthcare in Africa.

Adumike revealed that his personal encounter with a preventable health scare inspired him to create Everhale. He emphasized that the company’s mission is to shift the public’s approach from treating illness to prioritizing prevention.

“People often wait until illness strikes before taking their health seriously. At Everhale, our goal is to change this reactive mindset and promote early wellness interventions,” he said.

The Everhale Wellness City, as unveiled, will include a 500-bed clinic dedicated to wellness, alongside diagnostic centers, research laboratories, and residential accommodations tailored for medical tourism. A key focus of the facility is to support and elevate African innovations in natural medicine.

Adumike highlighted the importance of enabling local manufacturers, researchers, and traditional healers to refine and present their health products in a manner that meets international standards. He stressed that challenges like substandard packaging should not prevent African products from gaining global traction. According to him, Everhale aims to provide access to globally recognized, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)-compliant facilities.

Addressing young Nigerians, especially the Gen Z population, Adumike encouraged them to view health as a valuable investment. “Just as you spend on phones and apps, consider investing in products and habits that sustain your health,” he urged.

The event also featured prominent voices from the business and health sectors. Dr. Cosmas Maduka, Chairman of the occasion and Founder of Coscharis Group, underscored the value of knowledge in achieving a fulfilling life. “While instincts may help you survive, knowledge is what empowers you to thrive,” he remarked. He described the launch not just as a business milestone, but as the birth of a transformative health movement for Africa.

Everhale President Mr. Sotade Olayinka announced plans to establish the continent’s first natural medicine laboratory. This facility will provide a platform for African producers to subject their products to scientific evaluation, bringing traditional remedies closer to international health standards.

Adding his voice to the discussion, former Nigerian President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo spoke about the importance of lifelong wellness, especially for the elderly. “Health is not just about treatment; it’s about prevention. We must watch our diet, exercise, rest well, and schedule regular medical checkups,” he advised.

Panel discussions during the expo emphasized a holistic approach to health that integrates both pharmaceutical and nutraceutical methods. Experts agreed that sustainable health outcomes require a balance of proper nutrition, mental wellness, physical activity, and lifestyle discipline.

A major moment of the occasion was the official presentation of Everhale Wellness City’s design. Set for completion in 2027, the facility aims to become a continental hub for digestive health research and the cultivation of African medicinal plants, signaling a new chapter in the continent’s wellness journey.
