Nigerian singer Orezi is mourning the sudden loss of his father, Esegine Samson, just weeks after celebrating his birthday with heartfelt social media tributes.
In an emotional post, the “Rihanna” crooner described the pain as unbearable and asked fans to keep his grieving family in their thoughts and prayers.
Nigerian singer Orezi is grieving the passing of his beloved father, Esegine Samson, who died recently, less than three months after his last birthday.
The “Rihanna” crooner, born Esegine Allen, took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news, pouring out his sorrow in an emotional post. Describing the pain as unlike anything he’s ever felt, Orezi revealed that the loss occurred within a matter of hours, leaving him and his family in deep mourning.
“Death a debt we all must pay… In the last couple of hours, my world came crashing down. Death has taken away my guardian angel, my greatest cheerleader, my mentor & my role model,” he wrote.
Visibly devastated, Orezi confessed to feeling lost and broken by the sudden loss. “I am shattered, confused, sad, and heartbroken. A type of pain I have never experienced in my entire life.”
Struggling to come to terms with the reality, he added, “This feels like a dream and so unreal, somebody pinch me. Daddy please wake up!! Oh my sweet daddy I can’t believe you’re gone, I have cried and cried but yet these tears still continue to flow.”
He continued, “DEATH YOU DO ME THIS ONE. Till we meet again to part no more, Esegine Samson. I love you forever, daddy. (God is the greatest).”
In his post, Orezi also appealed to fans, friends, and well-wishers to remember him and his family in their prayers during this difficult time.
The heartbreaking news comes just weeks after the singer publicly celebrated his father’s birthday on social media, sharing pictures and messages of love.
