Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has ignited mixed reactions on social media following his comment on actress Biola Adebayo’s recent disclosure about her marriage ending.
Biola, a well-known Nollywood actress and host of the Talk To B celebrity podcast, revealed on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, that she and her husband had been separated since April 2024. In an emotional Instagram post celebrating her ex-husband’s birthday, she shared that they had mutually agreed to co-parent their son peacefully.
“Yes, you heard me right! My husband and I have been separated since April last year, but we have decided to maturely and peacefully co-parent our dear son, who means everything to us,” she wrote.
While many praised her honesty and maturity, Portable took a jab at her in a video that has since gone viral. Commenting on her podcast persona, he said:
“You’re divorced, but you’re very good at interviewing other people’s wives. So your home is not even settled. This life is just a drama.”
His remarks triggered mixed reactions across social media. Some users criticized him for being insensitive and hypocritical, citing his history of controversies and multiple relationships. Others, however, defended his right to speak freely, with a few agreeing that public figures should expect scrutiny in return.
