Bella Shmurda Reflects on Fame: “I Had More Freedom Before Stardom”

Bella Shmurda has shared the emotional toll of fame, saying life was freer before stardom and that being a celebrity often feels like “living in a box.”

Speaking with Channel Tweety7, the singer opened up about pressure as his family’s breadwinner, revealing the hidden burdens behind his rise to success.

Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has opened up about the hidden struggles of being in the limelight, revealing that life was much simpler and freer before he became a celebrity.

In a recent vlog interview with Channel Tweety7, the Cash App crooner explained that while success brought him recognition, it also came with its own set of burdens.

“I became famous at 25. Honestly, I only enjoy the celebrity lifestyle to a certain extent,” he said. “Before all of this, I was freer. I could hang out with my friends and just be myself. But now, it feels like I’m living inside a box.”

Bella admitted that one of the biggest pressures he now faces is being the primary provider for his family. “I’m the main breadwinner. That kind of responsibility is tough,” he shared. “The money has to keep coming in, or I’m in serious trouble.”

Despite the difficulties, the singer expressed confidence in his journey to success, noting that he always had a strong sense of destiny. “There’s a feeling you get when you know you’re going to make it. You just know and you don’t stop working. That feeling drives you,” he said.

Bella Shmurda’s revelation sheds light on the emotional and financial weight many young artists carry, even as they shine in the spotlight.
