Nasboi has spoken out after surviving a car crash during his bold 36-state tour to get a music feature from Davido, calling the experience terrifying yet transformative.
Now eight states in, the skit maker says his journey is no longer just about music, it’s about purpose, resilience, and inspiring others to never give up.
Renowned Nigerian skit maker and emerging music artist, Nasboi, has broken his silence after surviving a car accident while on his bold 36-state tour to get a music feature from superstar Davido.
Just eight days into the nationwide journey, Nasboi and his team were involved in an accident that could have ended in tragedy. Fortunately, no lives were lost, and the entertainer has now spoken out about the harrowing experience and what it means for his mission.
Recall that Nasboi kicked off the daring campaign with a bold plan: to travel across all 36 states of Nigeria holding placards and engaging with fans, all in a heartfelt attempt to get Davido’s attention and land a feature on one of his tracks. By the time of the incident, he had already visited eight states.
In a press statement released on June 4, 2025, from Abuja, Nasboi confirmed the accident, describing it as “terrifying” but also a turning point in his journey.
he wrote, “Yes, the accident happened and yes, it was terrifying. But I am alive, and for that, I am grateful,”
He acknowledged the wave of public reactions that followed, from concern and criticism to support and clarified that his mission has evolved into something far more personal.
“This journey is no longer just about music. It has become a personal mission to prove that I can weather storms, face real danger, and still keep moving forward. It’s about resilience.”
Nasboi emphasized that he’s pressing on with the tour not out of desperation, but to motivate others through his resilience and strong sense of purpose.
He ended his statement by saying, “I will continue this campaign not out of desperation, but out of purpose. I hope someone out there sees this and finds the courage to keep going, even when the road gets rough.”
