Popular social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has stirred yet another online storm, this time involving two high-profile Nigerian pastor. The drama unfolded after VDM criticized Pastor David Ibiyeomie, questioning the authenticity of a recent miracle reportedly performed at his church. The critique didn’t sit well with fellow preacher, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, who swiftly responded.

Taking to Instagram, Prophet Omoto posted a video where he didn’t hold back. He urged Christians to rise in defense of their spiritual leaders, particularly in online spaces. “Don’t just watch people insult men of God,” he said. “Go to the comment sections. Defend your pastors. Speak up.” His message was seen by many as a direct response to VDM’s sharp criticism of Ibiyeomie, labeling the activist’s statements as disrespectful and unnecessary.

Not one to shy away from controversy, VDM responded with a fiery video of his own. Rather than retaliating in kind, he pointed to scripture, specifically Romans 12:19 which encourages believers to leave vengeance to God. He accused Prophet Omoto of abandoning that principle by essentially rallying his followers to come after him online.

“This isn’t surprising,” VDM said. “Many will blindly follow his call to action. But I’m choosing peace this time.”

The activist also addressed his loyal fanbase, fondly known as the “Ratels,” asking them to avoid engaging in verbal battles and instead maintain calm. “Let’s be the bigger people,” he said. ” “There’s no need to exchange insults to get our message across”.

Tensions have been simmering between VDM and Prophet Omoto for some time, with VDM frequently criticizing the prophet’s teachings and ministry practices. While it’s unclear where this latest exchange will lead, one thing’s certain: neither side is backing down just yet.
