Napoli Reject Al Hilal’s Initial Bid for Osimhen, Demand Full £63m Clause

Napoli have rejected Al Hilal’s initial bid for Victor Osimhen, demanding the full £63 million release clause before any deal can proceed.

Despite a staggering £22 million annual offer, the Nigerian striker has yet to agree terms, leaving his future hanging in the balance.

Napoli have turned down a formal offer from Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, insisting the club must activate his full release clause of approximately £63 million to get a deal over the line.

According to sources close to the negotiation, Al Hilal’s opening bid fell short, prompting the Serie A side to stand firm on their valuation of the 26-year-old forward. Reports suggest the Saudi side is now preparing a second offer believed to be in the region of £59 million, still slightly shy of the required fee.

Despite the massive financial package on the table worth around £22 million per year, or roughly £425,000 per week, Osimhen is yet to agree on personal terms with Al Hilal. The Nigerian international reportedly remains undecided on the move, even as discussions continue behind the scenes.

Osimhen, who has one year left on his current contract with Napoli, has long been a hot commodity in the transfer market. Premier League sides Chelsea and Manchester United had previously shown strong interest, but failed to reach an agreement with the Italian club. Chelsea was especially keen during the last transfer window, though a deal ultimately failed to materialize.

The striker has since been loaned to Turkish champions Galatasaray for the remainder of the season, a temporary move that hasn’t dimmed the interest from major European and Middle Eastern clubs.

Al Hilal remains persistent in its pursuit and is expected to return to the negotiating table soon. However, Napoli’s stance is clear: unless the full release clause is met, Osimhen won’t be going anywhere.

With time ticking down on his contract and suitors circling, the next few weeks could prove decisive in determining Osimhen’s future, whether it lies in Italy, the Premier League, or the Middle East.
