You’ll Be Removed if You Don’t Make Peace, Cleric Warns Sanwo-Olu

Primate Ayodele has warned Lagos Governor Sanwo-Olu of a possible removal if he fails to reconcile with President Tinubu.

He urged the governor to act swiftly, cautioning that political forces are plotting his downfall ahead of the 2026 election.

The spiritual head of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a strong warning to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, urging him to mend fences with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu amid growing rumors of political tension between the two leaders.

According to the clergyman, unseen political forces are allegedly working behind the scenes with plans to unseat the governor if urgent steps are not taken. This revelation follows recent speculation suggesting a strained relationship between Governor Sanwo-Olu and President Tinubu.

In a statement released through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele recalled that he had earlier predicted a fallout between the governor and the president at the beginning of Sanwo-Olu’s second term. However, he noted that his warnings were largely disregarded at the time.

He cautioned Sanwo-Olu to act swiftly and resolve any disagreements he may have with Tinubu, warning that failure to do so could lead to a humiliating removal from office. The clergyman also appealed to President Tinubu, urging him not to allow any plans to remove the governor to succeed.

“I had said Sanwo-Olu and Tinubu will fight. Sanwoolu’s and Tinubu’s fight hasn’t started; if he isn’t careful, he will be removed. I want to beg Tinubu not to allow them to remove him.

“I’m calling on Sanwo-Olu to reconcile to avoid being disgracefully removed. It’s unfortunate that there are no elderly people in politics; they are all after what they would eat, and they don’t arrange things. If there is no money, they don’t do anything.”

Primate Ayodele also advised the governor to remain calm and to avoid listening to those who may be encouraging him to act with pride or defiance.

“Sanwo-Olu needs to calm down, find a solution between you and your boss. It is not well, once you leave there you would realize people don’t respect you, they are only with you because you are still there. “

“I want to urge you to ignore anyone advising you to be strong-hearted, if you are not careful, they will remove you in 2026. Prayers will not be able to save you then if you don’t retrace your steps.”

This warning from Primate Ayodele comes amid growing speculation about a deepening rift between Governor Sanwo-Olu and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a development that has dominated political conversations in recent weeks. As 2026 approaches, all eyes will be on how the governor navigates this potential storm and whether he heeds the prophetic call for reconciliation.
