President Tinubu hosted James Ibori, Abubakar Bagudu, and Razak Okoya in Lagos for the Sallah celebration.

He urged Nigerians to pray for unity, peace, and national progress during the Eid-el-Kabir festivities.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday welcomed several prominent figures to his residence in Lagos as part of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations. Among his guests were former Delta State governor, James Ibori, and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Bagudu. The high-profile visit was part of the president’s ongoing engagement during the festive period.

Also present at the gathering were notable business magnate Chief Razak Okoya, his wife Shade Okoya, and their son. The meeting was held in a relaxed atmosphere, reflecting the traditional spirit of togetherness and celebration that marks the Sallah season.

President Tinubu has been in Lagos since May 27 and continues to engage in a mix of official and informal activities. During his stay, he attended the 50th anniversary celebration of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and commissioned various development projects aimed at boosting infrastructure and economic growth.

As part of his Eid message to the nation, President Tinubu called on Nigerians to continue offering prayers for lasting peace and national unity. He said, “Let us offer prayers for continued peace and stability, and remain committed to unity and progress.”

The president also acknowledged the resilience and sacrifices of citizens over the past year. He assured that his administration is committed to protecting the physical, social, and economic well-being of every Nigerian, while also laying a solid foundation for the country’s long-term development.

President Tinubu is expected to return to the Federal Capital Territory following the conclusion of the Sallah celebrations.
