In a recent episode of the Afrobeats Intelligence podcast, hosted by music journalist Joey Akan, the artist shared that he believes he would have become a preacher, or a motivational speaker had music not been his calling.

Speaking candidly, Bella explained that he sees a deep connection between his purpose and spirituality, which strongly influences his music. According to him, spirituality is a universal element that everyone possesses, but the key lies in discovering and channeling it.

Everybody has spirituality; you just have to discover it,” he said. “I feel like if I wasn’t an artist, I might be a preacher or motivational speaker. That’s my purpose, and I’ve been trying to implement that in every one of my songs.”

He went on to describe how his natural ability to connect with people emotionally might have guided him into a different kind of platform for inspiration and healing. “If I wasn’t doing music, I would have been a motivational speaker. I easily cheer people up. I easily get to people’s deep part. And I feel like that’s my purpose,” he added.

Bella also emphasized that this deep spiritual connection is a non-negotiable part of his creative process. For him, spirituality isn’t just an influence it’s the very core of his music. “That’s why I’m here, and it should reflect in my music. You can’t take that away from it. I can’t do without it. When I’m writing, spirituality has to be there. You can sense it in my voice, it’s always there.”

The “Cash App” crooner’s revelation sheds light on the intentionality behind his lyrics and performances, offering fans a deeper understanding of the personal and spiritual dimensions that shape his artistry.
