Device in Pastor Paul Adefarasin’s Hand Was Not a Gun, Man Claims
A Facebook user has claimed that the object seen in Pastor Paul Adefarasin’s viral video was a shock device, not a firearm, urging viewers to verify online.
This new claim follows the pastor’s denial of gun ownership and adds fresh context to a debate that has stirred reactions across social media.
A man has stepped forward with a new claim regarding the viral video of Pastor Paul Adefarasin, the Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, which sparked widespread controversy online. The clip, which showed him holding an object while warning off a content creator filming his car, had many viewers speculating that the item was a firearm.
However, in a fresh development, the concerned observer has asserted that the object seen in the pastor’s hand was not a gun, but a self-defense device. According to the man identified on Facebook as House of Sanity, after conducting personal research, he identified the object as a “1203 Self Defense Shock Device” and urged the public to verify this by conducting a Google search.
“The result shows that the item is not a gun but rather a 1203 Self Defence Shock Device. Please conduct a Google search,” he wrote, calling for more informed public discourse on the matter.

The clarification adds another layer to the ongoing conversation, especially after Pastor Adefarasin addressed the situation during a Sunday service, where he stated that he does not own or carry firearms and that he did not threaten the content creator.
The debate surrounding the incident continues, with many Nigerians divided over what was seen in the viral clip and what it represents in terms of conduct expected from public figures, particularly religious leaders.
