Daddy Freeze Reveals He Lost Everything After Criticizing Nigerian Pastors

Daddy Freeze reveals backlash after criticizing Nigerian pastors, losing businesses overnight.

His bold stance sparked debate but cost him dearly in career and personal life.

Well-known media personality Daddy Freeze has disclosed how his bold criticism of Nigerian pastors severely impacted both his personal and professional life.

In a candid conversation with entrepreneur Stephen Akintayo, Daddy Freeze reflected on the moment he decided to publicly challenge what he saw as questionable practices within some Nigerian churches. Although his intention was to spark honest conversations about religion, the reaction he received was harsh and unforgiving. “When I spoke out against Nigerian pastors, I lost all my business. Everything disappeared just like that,” he revealed.

Known for questioning widely accepted religious teachings, Daddy Freeze has long been a controversial figure in Nigeria’s media landscape. He explained that while his criticisms were meant to promote accountability, they ultimately isolated him from many business opportunities and partnerships.

Speaking beyond religion, he also highlighted an ongoing issue between Christians and Muslims, particularly in the business sector. According to him, Muslim professionals and entrepreneurs tend to be more inclusive and willing to work with Christians, while the same level of openness is not always extended in return. “Muslims are more open to working with Christians than the other way round,” he noted, urging for more interfaith cooperation and understanding.

During the interview, he also addressed sensitive aspects of his personal life, including his previous marriage and the domestic violence allegations made by his ex-wife. Without denying the challenges in their relationship, he admitted that their marriage was filled with intense arguments, some of which escalated into physical confrontations. “In fairness, we used to fight. And the fight used to get physical,” he stated. “You can’t just say ‘marriage no work, I want to divorce.’ You must be a monster. If not, they will not divorce you.”

Daddy Freeze’s revelations have once again sparked widespread discussion on religious criticism, interfaith dynamics, and the social pressures surrounding divorce, especially for public figures in Nigeria.
