President Bola Tinubu has arrived back in Abuja after spending the Eid holidays in Lagos. The President traveled to Lagos on Tuesday, May 27, to attend the 50th anniversary of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
A video shared by Mr. Dada Olusegun, the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, showed President Tinubu leaving Lagos alongside Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. The two leaders were seen heading to the airport as they concluded the holiday period.
The post accompanying the video read: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu heads back to Abuja from Lagos after the Eid holidays. He was accompanied to the airport by His Excellency Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos.”
The President’s return marks the end of his short break in Lagos, where he also participated in the ECOWAS anniversary event. His trip highlights his engagement in both national and regional affairs while also observing the festive period with his family and associates.
As he resumes official duties in Abuja, Nigerians anticipate further developments on key national issues under his administration. The brief holiday allowed the President to balance personal commitments with his responsibilities as the leader of Africa’s most populous nation.
