Criticizing men of God brings curses upon you and your family, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome warns

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has cautioned that speaking against men of God brings curses not just on critics but also their families.

His remarks have triggered a wave of mixed reactions on various social media platforms.

Renowned Nigerian pastor and founder of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has issued a strong warning to individuals who criticize men of God, claiming such actions invite curses not only on those who offend and their families as well.

Speaking during a recent sermon to his congregation, Pastor Chris stressed the spiritual consequences of speaking against ordained ministers. He urged Christians to refrain from passing judgment on pastors, regardless of what they may see or hear about them. According to him, it is not the place of anyone to judge those called to serve in ministry, as they are accountable to God alone.

“Don’t criticize God’s people, especially ministers of God. I say, leave them alone,” Pastor Chris declared. “The Bible teaches that whatever actions they take, they do them in service to the Lord. Don’t join anyone to speak against a minister of God, because there are curses that follow those who do so.”

He emphasized that even when a man of God appears to be in error, believers should resist the temptation to condemn, insisting that judgment belongs solely to God. His statement has since stirred reactions online, with opinions divided across social media platforms.

Some users supported his message, agreeing that it is not man’s place to judge spiritual leaders. One user, @obissignature, commented, “Thank you very much Sir. That has always been my belief. Do you think the all-knowing God is unaware of what some ministers are doing? Let God be the judge. Please read Matthew 7:3-5.”

However, others were more critical. @smithdoings wrote, “They’re just protecting their job, so it doesn’t collapse.” Another user, @teawhy01, added, “That’s the card they always play, using fear to control people.”

Pastor Chris’s remarks continue to generate debate, highlighting the ongoing tension between spiritual authority and public accountability in religious communities.
