Mr Macaroni Slams APC Supporters Over Claims He Criticizes Celebs for Meeting Politicians
Mr Macaroni has dismissed claims that he criticizes celebrities for meeting politicians.
The actor reaffirmed his right to personal choices without seeking public validation.
Nigerian actor and social commentator, Mr Macaroni, has taken to social media to address claims that he often condemns celebrities who associate with political figures. His reaction comes amid renewed online criticism from supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who continue to involve him in discussions about celebrity visits to government officials.

In a series of fiery posts shared on X (Twitter), Mr Macaroni firmly stated that he has never attacked or judged anyone for choosing to interact with politicians, and that people should stop holding him up as a moral compass.
“I have said this times without number! I am nobody’s Hero!! I am not a saint!!! Na all of us get our own for body!” he tweeted.
He accused some APC supporters of deliberately misinterpreting his views in order to paint others in a negative light. He reiterated that while he personally prefers not to associate with politicians, that does not make others who do so wrong.
“It’s a matter of preference. It is unfair to hold others by these standards,” he wrote.
Mr Macaroni expressed frustration over constantly being dragged into what he called the “misery and misfortune” of his critics. Despite the backlash, he used the opportunity to praise chess champion Tunde Onakoya, describing his work as “tremendously inspiring” and encouraging Nigerians to contribute to nation-building in their own unique ways.
In response to questions about his absence from political events, the entertainer disclosed that he has received multiple invitations from all levels of government but has turned them all down.
“Invitations choke on different levels!!! But I promise, you will continue to cry, weep and gnash your teeth because all will be continuously declined,” he wrote.
He also questioned why receiving public admiration or online praise often leads to personal attacks from political supporters.
“Na another person talk am but na me dem go start to dey insult… Awon Osinwin dede!!!” he added.
Concluding his posts, Mr Macaroni made it clear that he does not wish to be seen as a model for how public figures should engage with politics. He emphasized that he only speaks up for what aligns with his values and not to meet anyone’s expectations.
“Please again, I am no one’s hero! I am not a saint! I am not the standard… I speak up for what I believe in and not for anyone’s validation. I hope this puts this matter to rest…” he wrote.
The actor’s statements have since sparked wide-ranging conversations on social media about individual freedom, political neutrality, and the pressure placed on public figures to represent collective ideologies.
