Ikeja Electric has reaffirmed its strict stance against vandalism following the recent conviction of three individuals found guilty of tampering with and stealing electrical equipment from the company’s network.

The power distribution company made the announcement through its Head of Corporate Communications, Mr. Kingsley Okotie. He explained that the convictions were secured at different magistrate courts in Lagos, where the accused were found guilty of damaging and stealing important electricity supply materials belonging to Ikeja Electric.
Okotie noted that the company has always taken a firm stand against any action that could affect its ability to deliver power effectively to customers. He added that these recent convictions are a clear message that vandalism will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The Chief Technical Officer of Ikeja Electric, Mr. Babatunde Osadare, praised the court’s decision and emphasized that these judgments should serve as a warning to anyone planning to damage or steal public infrastructure.
