Wike, Fayose, Ortom, Ikpeazu Visit Tinubu in Abuja
President Tinubu held a private meeting with top PDP figures, including FCT Minister Wike.
The gathering at the Presidential Villa has sparked talks of possible political realignments ahead.
President Bola Tinubu on Saturday evening held a closed-door meeting with key figures from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike. Also in attendance were former governors Ayodele Fayose (Ekiti), Samuel Ortom (Benue), and Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia).

The meeting took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. However, the agenda or outcome of the discussions had not been made public at the time of reporting.
This meeting comes just days after Fayose visited President Tinubu at his private residence in Lagos during the Sallah break on June 9. Speaking to journalists after that visit, Fayose explained that he came to show support for the president.
“I came to encourage the president. I have always believed in his leadership, even when I was a PDP governor,” Fayose said.
He added that President Tinubu deserved praise for his efforts to bring stability to the country’s economy.
