Controversial socialite and crossdresser Bobrisky has taken a swipe at Nigerian lawmakers, criticizing their silence following the tragic killings of nearly 200 people in Yelwata, Benue State. The internet personality expressed his outrage over what he described as misplaced priorities among Nigeria’s political class.
Reports recently confirmed that over 200 individuals lost their lives in a deadly attack carried out by suspected herdsmen in Benue. Reacting to the heartbreaking development via his Instagram Stories, Bobrisky pointed out the inconsistency in the way Nigerian politicians handle national issues.
He recalled how, in 2024, senators and members of the House of Representatives hastily called an urgent meeting to investigate reports that he received special treatment while serving time in prison for spraying naira notes. In contrast, he noted, no such urgency or action has been taken in response to the mass killings in Benue.
Highlighting the irony, Bobrisky wrote:
“Senators and House of Representatives members didn’t call an urgent meeting over the killings in Benue, but they could call one when it had to do with Bobrisky. Shame! Shame!! Shame!!!”
He went on to describe the state of the nation as deeply disappointing, calling out lawmakers for what he sees as hypocrisy and a lack of genuine concern for the lives of ordinary Nigerians.
“What a shameful country,” he added.
His remarks have sparked widespread discussion online, with many Nigerians echoing his sentiments about the government’s often selective response to crises.
