Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has fiercely responded to controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo, following grave accusations about the death of her mother and her alleged link to the notorious blog, Gistlover.
In a recent Facebook post, Kemi Olunloyo claimed that Iyabo Ojo’s late mother died as a result of complications from paranoid schizophrenia, alleging that the actress mistreated her until her passing. She went further to accuse the actress of being behind Gistlover, the infamous gossip platform known for exposing celebrities and public figures.
“Contrary to rumours that she sacrificed her mother for fame, Iyabo Ojo’s mom actually died of paranoid schizophrenia,” Kemi wrote. “She abused the 67-year-old woman until the end.”
The accusations ignited a fiery response from Iyabo Ojo during an emotionally charged Instagram Live session. The actress, clearly distressed, condemned Kemi for her constant smear campaigns and accused her of using her platform to spread falsehoods for attention. She criticized Kemi’s life choices and called her a “misguided” person whose life had become a series of bitter online attacks.
Responding to the Gistlover claim, Iyabo offered a powerful curse to reinforce her innocence, saying, “If I am truly the one behind the blog Gistlover, may all the curses you’ve placed on me come to pass. But if I am not, it shall never be well with you and your children.”
The actress also mocked Kemi’s personal struggles and ridiculed her for failing to achieve peace or happiness in her own life. Her outburst has since gone viral, with fans and social media users weighing in on the heated exchange.
