China has blamed former U.S. President Donald Trump for adding fuel to the ongoing tension between Iran and Israel. The criticism came after Trump posted a message urging residents in Tehran to evacuate immediately, following Israel’s recent airstrikes on Iranian territory.

The military action by Israel, launched last week, was reportedly aimed at stopping Iran from developing nuclear weapons, a claim Iran has consistently denied. The air raids mark a sharp rise in hostilities between the two long-time rivals, raising concerns about the possibility of a larger conflict in the region.
Trump’s warning, shared on his Truth Social platform, alarmed many. “Everyone should immediately evacuate!” he wrote. His remarks were quickly addressed by China’s foreign ministry.
Spokesman Guo Jiakun responded during a press briefing, saying, “Adding fuel to the fire, making threats, or applying pressure won’t help calm the situation. It will only make things worse and cause the conflict to grow.” He urged all sides involved, especially countries with significant influence over Israel, to act responsibly and work toward reducing the tension.
Meanwhile, China’s embassy in Israel issued an advisory to its citizens on Tuesday. The statement recommended that Chinese nationals leave the country as soon as they can safely do so, preferably through land crossings into Jordan. The embassy highlighted growing security concerns as the violence between Iran and Israel continues to escalate.
“The conflict has caused damage to civilian infrastructure and led to increasing casualties,” the embassy said, noting that the overall situation is becoming more dangerous by the day.
China has called for immediate international efforts to contain the violence and prevent further instability in the Middle East.
