Comedian and ex-Big Brother Naija star, Aderombi Adedayo Martin, popularly known as Deeone, has criticized fellow reality TV personality Kiddwaya for requesting donations from Nigerians to aid victims of the recent Benue State attacks.

Kiddwaya, who hails from Benue, had posted a message on social media urging the public to donate as little as ₦500 to the Kiddwaya Foundation to provide food, shelter, and aid to affected families. He stressed that no amount was too small, and that collective effort could make a significant impact.

However, his appeal was met with harsh criticism online, with many questioning why the son of a billionaire would be asking struggling Nigerians for money. Deeone joined the chorus of critics, calling Kiddwaya out in a video shared on Instagram. He accused the reality star of pretending to be philanthropic, labeling the donation drive as a poorly disguised clout-chasing move.

According to Deeone, Kiddwaya’s call for public donations is hypocritical given his past extravagant displays of wealth. He recalled that Kiddwaya once claimed to have paid $30,000 to fellow BBNaija star Whitemoney for a single plate of jollof rice and plantain, and had also admitted to losing €70,000 while vacationing in Ibiza without batting an eyelid. Yet, Deeone pointed out, the same Kiddwaya was now asking everyday Nigerians for money to support a humanitarian cause.

“Kiddwaya, when are you going to confess to Nigerians that you’re broke?” Deeone asked. “You’ve looked at what VeryDarkMan is doing with donation campaigns and decided to copy it. But this is very bad. The same person who said he paid $30,000 for rice and lost €70,000 in Ibiza is now asking the public for ₦500? Where was all that concern for money then?”

Deeone concluded by accusing Kiddwaya of faking his lifestyle and urged him to “go and learn how to do NGO business properly from VeryDarkMan.” He warned Nigerians not to be swayed by flashy lifestyles and emphasized that such acts often lack sincerity.
