Esther Nwachukwu urges May Edochie to drop her ex-husband’s name to restore peace.
She claims the family has turned against May, fueling growing tension in the public eye.
Nollywood actress Esther Nwachukwu, also known as Esther Sky, has stirred conversation online after advising May Edochie, the estranged wife of actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie, to relinquish his surname amidst their ongoing marital drama.
Taking to social media, Esther urged May to legally remove “Edochie” from her name, claiming that doing so would help restore peace and clarity amid the family’s escalating feud.
“With all due respect, drop Yul Edochie’s name so there would be peace. Even if your documents still bear May Yul Edochie, go to court and make the changes. There’s nothing special about the name,” Esther said.
Her comments come as tensions continue to rise within the Edochie family, particularly after a recent incident in which Yinka, the new wife of Linc Edochie (Yul’s brother), allegedly shared May’s phone number online. The move has sparked backlash and further strained relations, with many accusing members of the Edochie family of taking sides.
According to Esther, the hostility May is facing is no coincidence. She claimed that Yul’s family members have turned against May and are conspiring behind closed doors.
“The family has planned against her. All of Yul Edochie’s siblings and brothers have been bought. If they weren’t plotting behind her back, there’s no way the new wife would come online and insult Queen May without reason,” Esther alleged.
This isn’t the first time May Edochie has been publicly advised to let go of her estranged husband’s name. Previously, controversial relationship coach Blessing CEO had offered similar advice, urging May to distance herself from Yul Edochie and reclaim her identity outside of the troubled actor’s influence.
May, who has gained a strong fan base and public sympathy following her quiet but dignified response to her husband’s controversial second marriage to actress Judy Austin, has not publicly addressed Esther’s latest remarks.
