President Tinubu shared a touching reunion with his old Chicago schoolmate Alex at an Abuja event.
He recalled their humble past, praising how life led them to unexpected heights.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently reunited with an old schoolmate and former neighbor from his days in Chicago, a man named Alex, who he revealed is now a successful businessman from Belarus.
The President shared the story during the launch of 2,000 tractors and other equipment under the Federal Government’s Agricultural Mechanization Program, held in Abuja.
Reflecting on their past, Tinubu expressed surprise at how far both of them had come in life.
“To all of you, Alex was my very good neighbor and we went to the same school in Chicago,” he said. “Never did we imagine that I would one day become the President of Nigeria, and Alex, a successful businessman from Belarus.”
The President used the opportunity to commend the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security for their role in tackling the nation’s food challenges.
“I sincerely commend the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security for their proactive efforts in addressing the food crisis and maintaining stability within our food system,” Tinubu stated.
The moment added a personal touch to the official event, highlighting the unexpected paths life can take.
