Ayra Starr is stepping into Hollywood with her first acting role in “Children of Blood and Bone”.
She called the experience inspiring, learning from legends like Viola Davis and young co-stars alike.
Afrobeats sensation Ayra Starr has opened up about her acting debut in the upcoming film Children of Blood and Bone, alongside Hollywood heavyweights Idris Elba, Viola Davis, and Cynthia Erivo.
Speaking during an interview with CBS Mornings, the singer revealed that while acting had always been a dream of hers, she had previously been too shy to pursue it.
“I’ve always been shy when it comes to acting, but this is the first time in my life that I’ve been on camera and I’m not singing,” she shared.
Ayra also reflected on the valuable lessons she gained from the experience, saying she learned not only from the veteran actors but also from the younger cast members.
“I learned so much from everybody on set, not even just the greats… the actors on set, the 16 year olds, the 14 year olds on set, it was so inspiring just watching them.”
She described the experience as more than just fun, calling it a profound learning journey.
