Angela Okorie Addresses Arrest Rumors, Says Police Only Invited Her

A viral video showing Angela Okorie with police officers has stirred rumors of her arrest.

The actress says she only honored an invitation, but silence on key details fuels speculation.

Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has spoken out following viral reports that she was arrested over allegations of cyberbullying her colleague, Mercy Johnson.

A video that made the rounds online showed Okorie being escorted by officers of the Nigerian Police, prompting widespread speculation. Rumors quickly emerged claiming that her alleged arrest was linked to a petition filed by Mercy Johnson

Breaking her silence via Instagram Live, Okorie downplayed the incident, stating that she was merely invited by the police and voluntarily honored the invitation. She, however, did not confirm or deny whether the issue involved Mercy Johnson.

“I was invited and I went there, you know what I mean…” she said, without offering further details.

Her brief statement has left many fans and followers guessing, while social media reactions continue to trail the video.

One user, @iphy_homes_, quipped: “You people should not even start with that she’s so pretty comments this time 😂😂”

@mabel.jayden wrote: “She is looking drunk”

@queenbee_shellz added: “Even if them arrest you and rough handle you, you go tell us?”

And @gracy275 remarked: “She’s so insecure without the filters… she looks really uncomfortable… covering her mouth, face and all.”

Despite this, neither Mercy Johnson nor the police has issued an official statement confirming any charges or formal complaint.
