I Campaigned for Tinubu but Got Nothing Says Actor Lalude
Nollywood veteran Lalude has called out APC and MC Oluomo over unfulfilled campaign promises.
The actor, visibly upset, says entertainers were used and dumped after supporting the party’s victory.
Veteran Nollywood actor Fatai Odua, popularly known as Lalude, has publicly expressed his frustration and disappointment with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its associates, accusing them of abandoning him after he actively campaigned for the party during the most recent general elections.

In a video interview circulating widely online, the Yoruba film star recalled how he and other entertainers, including fellow actor Alapini, dedicated nearly two months of their time and resources to support the APC by campaigning for both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Despite their commitment, Lalude says they received nothing in return.
“After we campaigned for Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu, we were not given a dime. If I should place a curse on them, it will follow them throughout life,” he said bitterly.
He went on to single out the Chairman of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee, MC Oluomo, accusing him of orchestrating their support and making personal promises that were never fulfilled.
“It was MC Oluomo that gathered us together to campaign. In fact, he personally promised Alapini and I that we should ask him for anything we wanted. We told him what we wanted but he didn’t fulfil his promise,” Lalude stated.
The actor, visibly hurt, described the campaign effort as one done “with sweat” and dedication, only to be ignored after the party secured victory. He didn’t mince words, going as far as placing curses on those he believed blocked the promised rewards.
“Those that prevented us from receiving money shall be cursed for life,” he added.
Lalude’s outburst has sparked a fresh wave of conversation online about entertainers’ involvement in politics and the issue of unfulfilled political promises. As of now, neither the APC nor MC Oluomo has issued an official response.
