Arsenal Set to Submit Opening Bid for Noni Madueke After Agreeing Personal Terms

Arsenal are set to bid for Chelsea’s Noni Madueke after reaching personal terms with the winger.

The Gunners hope to sign him as part of their summer attacking reinforcement plans.

Arsenal are preparing an official opening bid for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke after reaching a complete agreement on personal terms with the player, sources close to the negotiations have confirmed.

The Gunners have reportedly convinced the 22-year-old to commit to a five-year contract that will run until June 2030. Madueke’s camp has already given the green light, signaling that the England youth international is open to the move and a new chapter in North London.

Reacting to ongoing transfer speculation, new Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca acknowledged Madueke’s contributions but made it clear that he only wants players who are fully committed to his project.

“Noni has been essential for us,” Maresca told reporters. “But my message to the players and the club is that I want just players that are happy to be with us. The ones that are not happy, they are free to go.”

The Italian tactician added, “Noni has been excellent during the season,” but did not deny reports of a possible departure.

Arsenal’s summer ambitions

Mikel Arteta’s side have been actively pursuing attacking reinforcements this summer as they seek to build a squad capable of sustaining another Premier League title challenge and a deeper run in the UEFA Champions League. Madueke, known for his dribbling ability, pace, and left-footed creativity from the right wing, fits the profile Arsenal are looking for.

Though Arsenal and Chelsea are yet to agree on a transfer fee, talks are expected to intensify in the coming days. Chelsea, under Maresca’s leadership, are open to squad reshuffling, with several fringe players expected to move on this summer as part of the club’s financial balancing efforts.

Madueke joined Chelsea from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023 and made a decent impression with flashes of quality despite an inconsistent season. Arsenal believes his potential remains untapped and sees him as a long-term attacking asset.

If the deal materializes, Madueke will become one of Arsenal’s marquee signings of the summer, reinforcing the club’s intention to add youth and depth to their attacking options.

Further updates are expected as Arsenal prepares to make their formal offer.
