LGSC Extends Online Test Dates for Local Government Recruitment
Lagos LGSC extends CBT exam window to five days after applicants faced tech and mobility issues.
The Commission says all qualified candidates will now have a fair testing opportunity.
The Lagos State Local Government Service Commission (LGSC) has extended the Computer-Based Test (CBT) schedule for candidates taking part in the ongoing recruitment into Local Government Councils and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).
Originally slated to hold on Monday, July 7, 2025, the CBT will now run for five days from Monday, July 7 to Friday, July 11, 2025. This adjustment follows complaints of technical congestion and mobility challenges experienced by applicants on the initial date.
In a statement released on Monday, the Commission said the decision to stretch the testing window was to accommodate all applicants and reduce pressure on the digital platform.
“This decision was taken to ease pressure on the system and allow all candidates adequate time and access to complete their assessments without difficulty,” the LGSC stated.
The Commission also reassured the public that the extension would not compromise the integrity or fairness of the recruitment process. Rather, it is a proactive step to ensure that all qualified applicants get a fair chance at participating.
“We recognise the enthusiasm and turnout recorded so far and want to ensure every eligible applicant has a fair chance to participate,” the statement added.
Applicants are now advised to log on to the official CBT portal lslgsc.com.ng using reliable browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge for optimal performance.
Upon accessing the portal, candidates are required to enter their login details using a specific format:
- Username: Name/LGSC/State of Origin (Example: Emeka/LGSC/Osun)
- Password: Last 10 digits of the applicant’s registration number
Once logged in, applicants will be directed to their personalized CBT dashboard. They are expected to carefully follow all instructions before commencing the test.
To avoid test disruptions, the Commission strongly advised participants to ensure a stable internet connection and cautioned against refreshing or closing their browsers during the test, as doing so will automatically terminate the session.
The Commission also recommended that candidates take the test in a quiet and comfortable environment, free from distractions, to boost concentration and performance.
In its closing remarks, LGSC expressed appreciation to applicants for their patience and cooperation throughout the process and reiterated its commitment to transparency and inclusiveness in public service recruitment.
