Lizzy Anjorin Announces Alleged Dismissal of Iyabo Ojo’s N1bn Defamation Suit

Lizzy Anjorin says Iyabo Ojo’s ₦1 billion defamation suit against her has been dismissed in court.

While no official court document is public yet, her claim has reignited their long-running feud online.

Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has claimed that a Lagos court has dismissed the N1 billion defamation lawsuit filed against her by fellow actress Iyabo Ojo.

Anjorin made the revelation in a post on her Instagram page on Wednesday, stating:

“BREAKING NEWS !!! IYABO OJO 1 BILLION NAIRA LAW SUIT CASE AGAINST LIZZYANJORIN DISMISSED!!!”

As of the time of filing this report, an official court document is yet been made public to confirm the ruling. However, Anjorin’s post has stirred fresh reactions online, with some congratulating her while others await formal clarification.

The legal battle dates back to late 2023 when both actresses became entangled in a heated social media feud. Iyabo Ojo had accused Anjorin of making defamatory comments about her online and initially demanded a retraction, an apology, and a payment of ₦500 million in damages.

When those demands were not met, Ojo pushed the matter, filing a ₦1 billion suit for what her legal team described as continued defamatory conduct.

The tension intensified after the death of singer Mohbad, with Anjorin reportedly posting cryptic messages aimed at a character called “Sepeteri”, which happens to be a nickname widely believed to be a jab at Iyabo Ojo. The posts included shocking accusations, including claims of immoral behavior involving Ojo and her daughter.
