Mohbad’s Friend Dominica Speaks on NDLEA Raid, Mental Struggles, Rift with Wunmi

A woman close to late singer Mohbad has shared new claims about his mental struggles and inner circle.

In an emotional interview, she revealed shocking events involving NDLEA, Wunmi, and Naira Marley.

A woman named Dominica Chinwe, who claims to have been a close friend of the late singer Mohbad, has opened up in an emotional interview, shedding light on key moments from the artist’s troubled final years.

Speaking with controversial activist VeryDarkMan (VDM), Dominica recounted details about Mohbad’s run-in with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), his ongoing mental health struggles, and a strained relationship with his wife, Wunmi. She said she met Mohbad through her ex-boyfriend, who was a close associate of the singer, and was with him, Wunmi, and her ex on the day of the infamous NDLEA raid.

Dominica described the moment they learned of Zinoleesky’s arrest by NDLEA officers, prompting them to rush to the Marlian house. According to her, the premises were barricaded by operatives, but Mohbad managed to gain entry and instructed her to go live on social media to bring attention to the unfolding scene.

She painted a picture of chaos and confrontation, noting how Mohbad tried to resist the NDLEA’s attempt to arrest Zinoleesky. Things reportedly escalated when Wunmi allegedly assaulted one of the officers.

“Mohbad told us to enter his car and followed the NDLEA bus to the estate gate. They started shooting and rammed his car three times. He jumped out in anger and began exchanging blows. They beat him badly with the butt of their rifles and forced him into their van while he was bleeding,” Dominica narrated.

She said he was released that same night due to a scheduled performance in Dubai, but his condition had already worsened. “After the NDLEA incident, he was hospitalized and later taken to Aro for mental health treatment because he constantly complained about his head,” she added.

Dominica also raised serious concerns about Wunmi’s actions during that period, alleging that she used laughing gas and once reached out to Naira Marley, claiming Mohbad’s family was trying to harm him. She said Wunmi shared private family matters with Naira Marley in a bid to seek help. At one point, a UK-based doctor reportedly offered to treat Mohbad abroad for six months, but things became more complicated when Wunmi allegedly blamed Dominica’s ex for the situation.

According to Dominica, even after being discharged from Aro, Mohbad’s mental state remained fragile. His family reportedly arranged for a nurse to care for him at home. She claimed the family later reconciled with Naira Marley, despite the viral video in which Mohbad had said, “If I die, it is Naira Marley.”

Dominica insisted that Mohbad was not mentally stable when that video was recorded. She also referenced another video allegedly filmed in 2022, where Mohbad told Wunmi that her family would never know peace if anything happened to him. That clip, she said, surfaced online only after his death.

In her final revelations, Dominica recounted an incident in which Wunmi allegedly reported Mohbad’s close friend, Bella Shmurda, to Naira Marley for offering him a hard substance.

Dominica’s account adds another layer to the complex and painful narrative surrounding Mohbad’s final days, raising new questions about the people closest to him and the struggles he may have faced in silence.
