Peller Fires Back at Lady Who Accused Him of Body-Shaming During Job Interview
Streamer Peller breaks silence after being accused of body-shaming and tribal bias during job interview.
He insists his comments were jokes and defends setting professional standards for potential cameramen.
Popular streamer Peller has responded to allegations made by a lady named Nkese, who accused him of unprofessional conduct during a job interview for a cameraman position.
Nkese, who participated in the interview, took to social media to recount her experience, alleging that Peller body-shamed her and denied the existence of her tribe, the Efik. Her post stirred conversation on social media, with many criticizing the streamer for his comments.
Reacting in a video, Peller defended his actions, insisting he has the right to set standards for who works with him. He clarified that while he may not have a formal education, he still expects his cameraman to be educated enough to represent him professionally especially during travels abroad.
“I am uneducated, I agree. But I can’t allow an uneducated person to be my cameraman,” he said. “Imagine both of us now go outside country you be my cameraman something wey they ask me, I should be able to ask you and know.”
Addressing the controversy around his earlier remark about requiring a master’s degree, Peller explained that the statement was made in jest and taken out of context. He criticized Nkese for only posting a portion of the interaction that portrayed him negatively.
“For the master’s degree something, I just use am joke ni, but they bring am come,” he said. “The only part wey she pick post na where I tell am say I no know where be that state or tribe I just dey joke with this girl see, you can’t even be my cameraman.”
