APC Chieftain Joe Igbokwe Slams DJ Switch Over Reaction to Buhari’s Death
APC’s Joe Igbokwe slams DJ Switch over her blunt reaction to Buhari’s death, calling her disrespectful.
He accused her of damaging Nigeria’s image, sparking fresh debate about Buhari’s controversial legacy.
All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Joe Igbokwe has lashed out at Nigerian disc jockey and activist DJ Switch over her reaction to the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Following news of Buhari’s passing on Sunday, DJ Switch, whose real name is Obianuju Catherine Udeh, took to Instagram to share a blunt message that read: “Wow! The sweet reality of inevitability. RIP MF. One down.” She also posted a video where she reiterated her stance and claimed that Buhari “achieved nothing” during his time in office.
Her reaction sparked outrage among Buhari’s supporters, with Igbokwe leading the criticism. Taking to Facebook, the APC stalwart condemned DJ Switch’s remarks, accusing her of tarnishing the nation’s image with her outspoken criticism and lack of respect following the former president’s death.
“So the ugly and nauseating lady is still talking. She has not realized the damage she did to Nigeria with her utterance. This lady needs help. She must have gone kolos,” he wrote.
Igbokwe’s comments have added to the growing online debate over how Nigerians are responding to Buhari’s death with some paying tribute, while others, like DJ Switch, remain critical of his legacy.
