Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has opened up about her ongoing health struggles, revealing that fragments of bullets from a 2019 assassination attempt are still lodged in her head.
The actress shared the update in a post on her Instagram page, where she detailed the recent health challenges she’s been facing.
According to Angela, she has spent the past two weeks visiting hospitals and undergoing several tests on her head and body. Her doctor has since recommended that she take time off to rest.
“Last two weeks have been so hectic lovers. It’s been one hospital or the other running some series of tests on my head, and body,” she wrote. “Haven’t been feeling too well too so my doctor advised I should be placed on bed rest.”
She added that during her medical checkups, doctors discovered that bullet fragments remain in her head, remnants of the attack she survived years ago.
“I went for my checkups, it was found that there are still fragments of bullet pellets on my head, as years go by more still comes out,” she said.
Despite the ordeal, the actress remains grateful for life and credits divine protection for her survival.
“At the end, it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. God is with me no doubt and may his name be praised amen.”
