NIS to Launch Online CERPAC Application Portal August 1
From August 1, Nigeria Immigration will move CERPAC applications fully online, ending paper forms.
The agency says this change will make the process easier, faster, and more transparent for all.
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced that it will officially roll out a digital platform for processing the Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Aliens Card (CERPAC) starting August 1, 2025.
This update was shared in a statement by the Service Public Relations Officer, Assistant Comptroller of Immigration Akinsola Akinlabi, on Wednesday in Abuja.
According to Akinlabi, the move aligns with the Federal Government’s wider reform agenda for the immigration service, aimed at boosting transparency, improving user access, and enhancing service delivery through digital tools.
The new portal, which can be accessed via https://cerpac.immigration.gov.ng, will allow applicants to complete and submit CERPAC forms entirely online. As part of the shift, the agency will stop accepting physical application forms after July 31.
“From August 1 onward, all CERPAC applications must be submitted exclusively through the online platform,” he said.
He explained that the transition is designed to simplify the application process and ensure a smoother experience for individuals and organizations responsible for expatriates.
Applicants who have already paid for the process but haven’t submitted their forms are urged to complete and submit them by July 31. Failure to do so will lead to their application being cancelled and payments forfeited.
“Companies and individuals with pending forms must finalize their submissions before the deadline to avoid disruptions. Any form not submitted before July 31 will be considered invalid,” Akinlabi warned.
He also encouraged affected persons to direct any questions regarding the process to the Office of the Public Relations Officer.
