Civil Defence Recruitment Portal Temporarily Suspended, To Reopen July 21

CDCFIB has suspended its recruitment portal to handle high traffic and upgrade system performance.

The portal will reopen July 21 for applicants into Civil Defence and other paramilitary services.

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has temporarily shut down its recruitment portal to upgrade the system and improve efficiency.

In a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja, the Board’s Secretary, Maj. Gen. AM Jibril (retd.), explained that the suspension was necessary to manage the large number of applications being received for recruitment into the board’s paramilitary agencies.

Jibril confirmed that the portal is scheduled to reopen on Monday, July 21, 2025.

“This development will ensure that the portal accommodates the high volume of applications while guaranteeing a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process,” the statement read.

He commended the growing interest shown by Nigerian youths in serving the nation through the agencies under the board and assured the public that the recruitment process would remain fair and transparent.

“We appreciate the enthusiasm and interest of young Nigerians to serve their country through these vital agencies. We remain committed to ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process,” he said.

The affected agencies include the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).

Applicants are encouraged to stay updated and submit their applications once the portal resumes operations on July 21.

The recruitment exercise, which initially commenced on June 30, 2025, has already attracted thousands of applicants nationwide.
