Controversial activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) has responded harshly to street-hop singer Portable after the artist slammed him for criticizing President Bola Tinubu.
The online feud escalated after Portable publicly defended Tinubu, saying the president was working hard to improve the country. VDM, who had earlier voiced frustration over the rising insecurity and hunger in Nigeria, did not hold back in his response.
Taking to Instagram, VDM reposted an old video allegedly showing Portable being beaten after reportedly attempting to steal a Keke Napep in 2020. He used the clip to question Portable’s credibility and accuse him of being paid to support the current administration.
“Portable, look at your video from 2020 when you went to steal a keke. See how badly you were beaten. You’re insulting me, someone who already owned a car and keke since 2020. You claimed I only bought them under Tinubu’s regime. I don’t blame you,” VDM said.
He added, “You, who once tried to steal a keke, can now be paid by politicians to defend nonsense. I didn’t insult President Tinubu I spoke out of pain, highlighting what Nigerians are going through, especially with insecurity.”
Taking further shots at the singer, VDM said, “How much did they give you? Go and ask them how much they offered me to be on their side. The government doesn’t rate Nigerians, which is why they’d choose someone like you to speak for them. They think Nigerians are fools.”
He concluded with a threat, saying, “You had the audacity to say I’m doing too much. If we ever meet one-on-one without security, I’ll use your face to clean the ground.”
