Nine Killed as Bandits Attack Farmers, Security Guards in Zamfara

Gunmen stormed a farming community in Zamfara, killing nine people including a security chief.

The deadly attack happened in Jangebe, leaving locals in fear as abductions also occurred.

Armed attackers have struck again in Zamfara State, killing at least nine people, including five members of the Zamfara Community Protection Guards (ZCPG) and their commander, Garba Dogo.

The assault took place on Friday afternoon in Jangebe, a farming area in Talata Mafara Local Government Area. The victims were reportedly ambushed while tending to their farmland.

Security analyst Bakatsine, who shared the update on social media, stated that the attackers opened fire on the farmers and local guards, resulting in multiple deaths.

In addition to the killings, several individuals were taken away by the gunmen, sparking fear and uncertainty among residents. Authorities are yet to confirm the full number of those abducted or offer an official response.
