Nollywood actor Jerry Williams was reportedly arrested at home, according to producer Stanley Ontop.
He links the arrest to Izutech, warning he should be held responsible if harm occurs.
Nollywood actor Jerry Williams has allegedly been arrested by Nigerian security operatives, as claimed by film producer Stanley Ontop.
Stanley alleged that the arrest, which occurred at Jerry’s residence on July 21, 2025, was orchestrated by an individual identified as Nwafor Franklin, popularly known as Izutech. He cautioned that should anything happen to the actor, Izutech must be held accountable.
Narrating the incident, Stanley said he arrived at Jerry’s apartment shortly after the arrest but found that the actor had already been taken away. Despite chasing after the individuals with his car, he was unable to catch up with them.
“Before I reached Jerry’s apartment, they had already left. I chased them with my car yet, I didn’t see them,” he said in a post.
Jerry Williams has previously battled substance abuse, which led to his indefinite suspension by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) in June 2023. The AGN had cited safety concerns for both Williams and other actors on set as the reason for the suspension.
