Oseni Rufai Raises Alarm Over Alleged Recall of Nigerian Ambassadors Worldwide
Oseni Rufai raises alarm over reported global recall of Nigerian ambassadors under President Tinubu.
He says embassies now run by unpaid junior staff, leaving key diplomatic posts vacant worldwide.
Popular Nigerian broadcaster and social critic, Oseni Rufai, has expressed deep concern over the reported withdrawal of all Nigerian ambassadors across the globe.

Taking to his verified X account, Rufai shared that he tried to make contact with Nigeria’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), only to learn that the position is currently vacant.
Rufai claimed he was informed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had recalled all Nigerian ambassadors, including those representing the country at the United Nations. He also lamented that most Nigerian embassies are now being managed by junior attachés, some of whom have not received their salaries.
“I’m based in the UAE at present and just yesterday asked around to find out who the Nigerian ambassador to the UAE is to get an introduction. I was informed that our president withdrew all our ambassadors worldwide including the ambassadors to the UN and that embassies that are still operating are being run by junior attaché’s who themselves are owed salaries,” he posted.
