Speaking to a congregation in the United States, Chidinma revealed that she had gone into isolation on a mountain, spending 40 days in deep prayer and fasting, hoping to find divine direction and clarity. But what she faced during that time tested her faith and strength in ways she never imagined.

Chidinma explained that those days were filled with spiritual warfare, solitude, and moments of deep reflection. “There were nights I slept outside, just singing and praying.”

She said music became her source of strength, a way to express her deepest emotions and connect with God during the difficult moments. One particular night, however, nearly ended in tragedy. Chidinma, who was born blind, recalled a terrifying moment when she stood at the edge of a cliff in complete darkness. “I saw myself at the top of a cliff, and it was completely dark.” She said she heard a voice, loud and forceful, urging her to take a deadly leap. “The devil said to me, ‘Jump.’ It wasn’t just a thought. The voice was loud and clear.”

As she began to move toward the edge, something powerful happened that stopped her in her tracks. “When I was about to jump, I realized I was barricaded. I couldn’t move forward. Something, I don’t know what stopped me.”

Reflecting on that moment, Chidinma described it as a spiritual transformation. “It was like I was in a theatre. God shredded me, opened me up, and put me back together.”

She said the experience completely changed her outlook on life. Material things no longer matter to her the way they once did. “I’ve seen things. I’ve faced the enemy. But I’ve also seen God in a way I never had before.”
