Bisola Aiyeola Opens Up About Her Priorities, Says She’s Not Desperate for Marriage

She says love is beautiful, but real-life priorities have shifted beyond societal expectations
Nollywood actress and reality TV star Bisola Aiyeola has revealed that getting married or having more children is no longer a priority for her.
The 39-year-old actress shared her thoughts during a conversation on the Dear Ife podcast, hosted by Ifedayo Agoro. She explained that her focus has shifted to more personal goals, such as peace of mind, financial independence, and self-development.
Bisola said she once had a personal age limit for having more kids but has now moved past that stage in her life.
“I’m not really keen on marriage any longer. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, it’s okay too… I gave myself an age marker; I don’t want to have babies after I clock 38. I have passed 38 and no man yet, so, I am just here and not actively looking forward to it…I think I have gotten used to being alone. I love, love, I still do. Love is sweet, it’s nice it’s a beautiful thing, but reality is a different story.”
The former Big Brother Naija housemate added that while she appreciates love, she sees marriage differently now.
“Marriage is not a do-or-die affair. There are so many more things one can aspire to be besides getting married. I am not desperate for marriage,” she said.
