He said Americans are too distant, while Nigerians enjoy open, neighborly interactions worth preserving.
Controversial Nigerian pastor Chukwuemeka Odumeje, popularly known as “Indaboski Bahose,” has stirred fresh reactions by claiming Nigeria is better than the United States.
The Onitsha-based preacher made the remark during a recent sermon after returning from a trip to the U.S., where he held several events and met with members of the Nigerian community.
Sharing his impressions with his congregation, Odumeje said, “If we can build our country, Nigeria is better than America.” He explained that while Americans tend to keep to themselves, Nigerians are more open and engaging.
“Over there, people mind their business to the point it can hurt you,” he said. “But in Nigeria, at least you can talk freely with your neighbors.”
