Peller Fires Master’s Degree-Holding Cameraman One Week After Hiring
Streamer Peller sacks master’s degree cameraman after one week over unexpected housing request.
Says employee showed up with luggage, asked to move in despite being paid ₦500,000 upfront.
Popular streamer Peller has explained why he terminated the appointment of a cameraman who holds a master’s degree just one week after hiring him.
The revelation came during a chat with skit maker Carter Efe. Peller had previously made headlines for announcing an unusual job opening, seeking a cameraman with a master’s degree.
However, according to him, the employment didn’t last long. He said the cameraman was paid ₦500,000 upfront, only to unexpectedly show up at his residence with his belongings, hoping to move in.
Narrating the incident, Peller said:
“I gave him ₦500,000 upfront. The next thing, he showed up at the house with a bag, saying he’d been sent out and asking where he would sleep. He asked me to help him. What kind of talk is that? And that house isn’t even mine. If it were, maybe he could have stayed…”
