Elephant Kills Farmer in Ogun Forest Community, Triggers Fear Among Residents
A farmer has been killed by a stray elephant in Imobi, Ijebu East, sparking fear among locals.
Authorities confirmed the incident and are heading to the area to ensure public safety.
Tragedy struck in the Imobi area of Ijebu East Local Government, Ogun State, as a farmer was reportedly killed by an elephant believed to have wandered out of a government-protected forest.

The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, has left residents in shock and raised concerns about their safety, with fears growing over the possible presence of other wild animals in the area.
Confirming the incident, the Ogun State Commissioner for Forestry, Taiwo Oludotun, said, “Yes, we are aware and we are already on our way to the community.”
Although the victim’s identity has not yet been disclosed, state officials are said to be on their way to the scene to assess the situation and take necessary steps to prevent further danger.
